Wind power uncertainty is taken into consideration while using the Osprey Optimization Algorithm for hydro-thermal-wind complementary scheduling

The short term hydrothermal generation scheduling (SHTS) problem is effectively solved in this paper by integrating a wind system. Wind is included into the power system to reduce the thermal units overall fuel costs. In this study, the wind power integration system is used to solve the SHTS problem using the Osprey Optimization Algorithm (OOA). The impact of the thermal units with valve-point loading is taken into consideration. When applying the suggested method to test system with varying characteristics. In order to examine the impact of renewable energy sources, the test system consists of 4 hydro 8 thermal units with integrated 2 wind power generating units. The outcomes of the simulation are contrasted with those of other researched techniques. In comparison to previous optimization techniques used to address the SHTS problem, it is discovered that the suggested approach is better and can produce the best results.
