PV Battery Assisted ANN-MPC Controlled SRM Motor Drive for Electric Vehicle Application

This paper demonstrates the artificial neural network (ANN) model predictive controlled (MPC) PV and battery-assisted switched reluctance motor (SRM) drive. The detailed ANN-MPC model has been developed and compared with the ANN-based direct torque control (DTC) technique. The bidirectional DC-DC converter and battery charging control technique have been developed. The working methodology for the MPC technique for the single prediction horizon and sampling time $80\mu \mathrm{s}$ is explained. The detailed simulation is performed in MATLAB/SIMULINK environment for the drive ratings of 30kW.
