On the Design of Electron-Optical Systems of Microwave ED for the 220 GHz

The results of the design of electron-optical systems for electro-vacuum O-type devices designed to operate in the 220 GHz band are presented. The fundamental necessity of taking into account the phase volume of the electron flow at all stages of designing an electron gun and magnetic focusing system is shown. An example is given of designing an EOS with a current of 0.15 A at a voltage of 22400 V in a unipolar magnetic field with an amplitude of 0.45 Gs.
