Reliability Design and Implementation of China Space Station EVA

To achieve the requirements of long-term safety and reliable operation, the capability for maintenance and assembly to support the space station through extravehicular activity (EVA) is essential. Owing to the unique characteristic of the spacecraft's extravehicular space environment, EVA is a highly complex and hazardous space mission. On the basis of analyzing the mission objectives of outbound activities, the safety design method for EVA and implementation of in-orbit operations of China “Tiangong” as well as the future application of the safety design method for EVA in manned lunar and planetray explorations is prospected.
