13 Communicating Effectively

The ability to communicate well is a fundamental skill that is essential for human beings to express and understand their thoughts, ideas, and feelings. Good communication is equally important for the success of any organization, especially technology- based organizations where clarity, conciseness, and articulation of complex subjects in simple, understandable terms are crucial to the success of the business. Effective communication within an organization helps align individuals around a shared mission and vision, prevents and resolves misunderstandings and conflicts, and builds trust and relationships between employees and management. In turn, this can lead to increased productivity, better decision-making, and improved teamwork and morale. In an artificial intelligence (AI) organization, effective communication can also lead to effective delivery of AI products and services consistent with the promised deliverables to the stakeholders.
