Design of Highly Adaptable FAT File System in Embedded System

In the embedded field, FAT32 file system with high portability and flexibility is needed to apply to a variety of hardware storage devices. Therefore, a file system design that meets the requirements is adopted. The whole design adopts hierarchical design and all parts are written in C language. There is no call related to any specific operating system API, and only a few standard C library functions are called, so that the code of the file system itself is not only separated from the physical hardware platform, but also stands alone in any operating system. This makes it easy and flexible to port to environments with or without operating system support.
