Topology-Based Diagnostic Modeling for Electro-Hydraulic System of Controllable Pitch Propellers

To address the complexities involved in fault diagnosis and field maintenance of Controllable Pitch Propeller (CPP) systems, this study presents a unified advancement in fault diagnosis modeling, introducing a distinctive modeling method and a specialized language. The introduced modeling method, based on Signal-Function Topology, implements a bottom-up approach, transitioning from modular components of a reusable library to form coherent and verifiable system-level diagnostic models in close alignment with the actual physical systems. Complementarily, we propose T-language, a specialized syntax specification, designed for fault diagnosis modeling, demonstrating expressivity and flexibility in defining system constraints and illustrating its effectiveness in advanced fault diagnosis modeling. These synergistic innovations are empirically validated on a dedicated experimental platform for CPP systems, enhanced by customized modeling and diagnostic software. Through a series of fault injections, the model has demonstrated its efficacy in fault isolation, underscoring the potential practical applicability and effectiveness of the proposed methodologies.
