Combined Dipole-Slot Radiating Structures with Parasitic Impedance Dipoles as Functional Elements of Antennas and Antenna Arrays

Mathematical models and algorithms for calculating the electrodynamic characteristics of multi-element slotted waveguide antennas and antenna arrays, the functional elements of which are combined dipole-slot radiating structures with parasitic impedance dipoles, have been construct using the generalized method of induced electro-magnetomotive forces. The electrodynamic characteristics of a combined structure consisting of a radiating slot in the wall of a rectangular waveguide and parasitic impedance dipole placed above it were investigated. The geometric and electrophysical parameters of the radiating structure are defined, which ensure the maximum achievable value of the directivity for such a dipole-slot radiator or realize the radiator with the same width of the radiation pattern in E- and H-planes.
