Microstrip Antenna with Quasi-Fractal Substructure

This paper presents the results of numerical simulations of the main electrodynamic characteristics of a planar antenna with a hybrid topology including an open-ended ring microstrip resonator and a disc microstrip resonator with a quasi-fractal internal structure and additional frequency selection. A comprehensive approach was used for numerical simulation, which included the semi-open resonator method and the finite element method (FEM). FEM implementation within the commercial package ANSYS HFFS was used.
