Design and Analysis of Cross-Coupled Source Degenerated Balanced OTA for Biomedical Application

This paper presents a modified operational transconductance amplifier (OTA) design intended for use in biomedical application. The conventional balanced OTA has been modified to include two additional degrees of freedom, allowing precise control over the transconductance, a crucial parameter in filter design. The OTA was designed and simulated using Cadence Virtuoso with UMC 180nm CMOS Technology, demonstrating improved performance metrics: power consumption at 50nW, a gain-bandwidth product (GBW) of 10.47kHz, and a phase margin of 87.23degree. These enhancements indicate that the proposed OTA is well-suited for the intended application.
