Design and Implementation of GeoCloud Monitoring Platform based on Multi-Tier Cloud Service Model

GeoCloud is a geological information service system integrating computing resources, data and application systems, which will be upgraded to “GeoCloud 3.0” in 2021. The system realizes the cloud sharing of a large amount of geological data and the cloud service of real-time monitoring data. To ensure the stable and efficient operation of the system, this paper introduces an innovative unified real-time monitoring module, which is embedded in the multi-layer cloud service model. Automatically capture and analyze compute service performance metrics and log data at all levels of IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), DaaS (Data as a Service), and SaaS (Software as a Service) with non-intrusive technology. The monitoring system of this multi-layer cloud service model not only improves the operation and maintenance management level of “GeoCloud 3.0”, but also provides strong data support and technical guarantee for the further development and optimization of geological information services in the future.
