Design and Implementation of SDR-Based Monopulse Target Tracking System

With the continuous development of communication technology, people put forward higher requirements on the accuracy and response speed of the target tracking system. Therefore, it is of great academic and engineering significance to design a low-cost, small-size, high-precision target tracking system. In this paper, a Software Defined Radio (SDR) platform based on AD9361+Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) architecture is designed as the receiver of the target tracking system based on the phase comparison method using the principle of monopulse goniometry. The down-conversion single board designed with the receiver is capable of receiving and processing X-band or S-band signals, which can realize target tracking in a variety of application scenarios. The receiver system design is small in size, low in cost, wide in application, and also features high accuracy, demonstrating strong engineering practical value.
