Enhancing Digital Payment Adoption: The Impact of Digital Literacy on E-Wallet Usage Intention

The financial services industry is changing as a result of the quick development of financial technology, or Fintech, which improves user experience, effectiveness, and efficiency. This study investigates the factors that influence the intention to use fintech, with a particular emphasis on e-wallets as a digital payment method and the mediating function of digital literacy. In order to examine how perceived ease of use influences users’ intentions to use Fintech services both directly and indirectly through digital literacy, the research employs a quantitative methodology. The results show that although perceived ease of use has a significant influence when mediated by digital literacy, it does not significantly influence usage intention directly. This emphasizes how crucial digital literacy is to increasing e-wallet adoption. The study contributes to the understanding of Fintech adoption by emphasizing the critical role of digital literacy and provides insights for future research to explore other Fintech services and contextual factors influencing user intention.
