Digital Governance and Intellectual Property Rights: Empowering Indonesian SMEs for Sustainable Business Growth

In today’s digital landscape, small and medium-sized firms (SMEs) face the problem of intellectual property rights (IPR) among the complicated of digitization. This study explores the intersection of digital governance and intellectual property rights (IPR) in empowering small and medium enterprises (SMEs) for sustainable business growth in Indonesia. The research addresses the challenges SMEs face in managing IPR within the context of digital transformation. Using a comprehensive literature review method, data were collected from journal articles, research reports, and case studies focusing on digital governance and IPR impacts on SMEs in Indonesia. The findings indicate that integrating digital governance frameworks enhances SMEs’ ability to protect intellectual property, streamline operations, and access new markets. Furthermore, the study highlights the need for improved legal enforcement and increased awareness of IPR among SMEs. By providing recommendations for policymakers, SMEs, and stakeholders, this research contributes to the development of strategies that promote innovation and competitiveness. The implications of this study suggest that a robust digital governance and IPR management framework is crucial for achieving sustainable growth and aligning with global digital economy trends.
