Unsourced Random Access With Uncoupled Compressive Sensing and Forward Error Correction

In this paper, we investigate the unsourced random access (URA) under Rayleigh fading model. The proposed URA scheme incorporates uncoupled compressive sensing with forward error correction. It avoids the challenges of more effective tree decoder design and alleviates the issue of performance deterioration caused by under-determined multi-user detection model under small antenna number. Moreover, amplitude modulation (AM) is adopted in this work as a power division method to improve efficiency, carrying more information without modifications on codebook. Approximate message passing (AMP) algorithm with post variance fusion is designed to demodulate AM with large fading effect and improve estimation precision. Numerical results are illustrated by fair comparisons with state-of-the-arts.
