Design, Construction and Test of a Magnetically Geared Induction Machine

This paper describes the realization and the test of a 1 kW- 45 rpm magnetically geared induction machine. The principle of operation and the design procedure are firstly described, then the prototype construction is detailed. Finally, measurement results are presented and compared to the computations under full load conditions. It is the first prototype for this type of machine never built and tested under rated condition.
