Implementing LPC1768 Microcontroller with UI Control for Ground Penentration Radar

GPR is essential in involving subsurface imaging in geology, infrastructure and archaeology. The works presented in this study describe the design and implementation of a frequency-tuned continuous wave GPR system with readily interpretable control interface. Led by the Europe-based scholars of Sapienza University, Rome, the project targets the incorporation of GPR in education. With affordable commercial parts, a strong GPR model was built to investigate various signal tuning designs at their best. The firmware programming based on the Python contains a graphic interface for comfortable work and an additional software component for the precise setting of the transmitting signal parameters. The given approach enables not only improving the GPR system’s operational conditions but also involving the system in pedagogical processes. The outlined framework speaks of practical applicability of radar technologies in conjunction with educational improvement initiatives while indicating that the developed tool is efficient.
