Design and Analysis of Multi-Posture Electric Wheelchair

In order to meet the needs of the elderly and the disabled for traveling and rehabilitation treatment, a multi-posture electric wheelchair with sitting, standing, lying and cushion tilting postures is designed. According to the functional requirements of daily care of the wheelchair, the design requirements of the multi-posture wheelchair are put forward, the design scheme of the wheelchair and the operation scheme of the mechanism are determined, and the feasibility of the mechanism is verified through kinematics calculation; the design of the structural scheme of the wheelchair is determined according to the results of the mechanism design and the correctness of the design is verified through ADAMS(Automatic Dynamic Analysis of Mechanical Systems). The physical prototype of the wheelchair is finally fabricated, and the results show that the wheelchair is smooth in movement, safe and reliable and it can realize the expected multiple posture adjustment modes.
