A high output impedance recording amplifier

Since there is no treble lost from the amplifier to the head, less treble boost is required from the recording amplifier. Furthermore, because of the high-output impedance characteristic of the amplifier, a capacitor can be used to resonate with the head inductor to obtain treble boost. The result is a wide frequency response, a better signal to noise ratio (S/N), and less distortion.<>
