A New Strategy to Fabricate Sapphire Meta-surface Output Window at Ku-band with Glass Tnterlayer

A new strategy for the fabrication of Ku-band meta-surface output window was proposed using a glass braze interlayer, to overcome the processing difficulty of the complex sapphire meta-surface window. $\mathbf{Bi}_2 \mathbf{O}_3-\mathbf{B}_2 \mathbf{O}_3-\mathbf{ZnO}-\mathbf{SiO}_2$ glass was prepared with matching thermal expansion coefficient. The reflection of output window in TE01 mode among the Ku- band circular waveguide system was simulated, with a bandwidth of 3.5 GHz below −20dB. The glass filler makes no difference on the performance of meta-surface window. Additionally, the thermal analysis indicates that the output window can withstand up to 150 KW of power.
