Comparative Analysis Mathematical Models of Magnetic Fields Solenoids in Magnetostrictive Devices

Article is devoted to the study of magnetic fields created by a flat spiral solenoid in acoustic paths of magnetostrictive transducers of linear and angular displacements. Mathematical models of solenoids are considered, which allow numerical calculation of the values of the longitudinal component or projection on the $0Z$ axis of the magnetic field strength for different number of spiral turns. Mathematical modeling of the magnetic field of a flat spiral solenoid using mathematical models with an infinitely thin conductor and a conductor with a finite diameter has been carried out. The analysis and the comparison of the results of computational experiments based on it allowed to draw conclusions and recommendations on the use of different models for application in engineering practice. The computational experiments on the magnetic field strength obtained for the model with infinitely thin conductor and conductor with finite diameter showed good agreement with the theoretical calculation. Also, to verify the results of computational experiments, experimental studies were performed using a spiral solenoid and a setup containing a gaussmeter to measure the values of magnetic field strengths.
