On the Problem of Resource Distribution of Computer Generators Synthesizing 3D-Models of the Flight Area for an Aviation Simulator

An urgent task in aviation simulator construction is to construct a 3D-model of a flight area specified by the customer to train pilots in solving navigation problems to the maximum extent. When flying on an aviation simulator, the solution to aircraft navigation problems is carried out “during flights in continuous clouds” according to the readings of simulators of cockpit equipment and according to commands “from the ground” (according to instructions from the instructor's console). This is explained by the technical characteristics of the first computer image generators and the insufficient number of studies in the direction of distributing the resources of the computer image generator throughout the entire 3D-model of the area. The result is a 3D-model of the area - in the center is a 3D-model of the runway with a small number of adjacent 3D-models of reference objects. The size of the model of such an area is no more than $15\times 15$ km (with a total size of the flight area of $1500\times 1500$ km). The article discusses mathematical methods that allow solving the problem of distributing resources of a computer image generator for solving problems of aircraft navigation during flight along a route with visual orientation using 3D-models of reference objects located throughout the 3D-model of a terrain area with a size of at least $400\times 400$ km.
