Diagnostic Criteria Selection for Determining the Bearings Preload Using Functional Diagnostic Methods

The feasibility of applying a criterion for estimating the preload in the form of a relative peak frequency in functional diagnostics and the findings of an investigation into the amplitude-frequency characteristic of a spindle assembly are evaluated experimentally. Additionally, the potential applications of a power criteria computed as the ordinate of the relevant power spectrum range are examined. The experiment's goal was to ascertain how much these diagnostic standards depended on the spindle motor supports' preload value when they were in idle mode. In order to accomplish this, an information and measurement system, as well as an experimental stand, were created in order to investigate the formation of forced vibrations in the spindle assembly and ascertain the preload of the spindle assembly supports in the operation mode.
