Influence of stator auxiliary slot on cogging torque of surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor

Aiming at the problem of fluctuating motor torque, vibration noise caused by the existence of cogging torque during the operation of permanent magnet synchronous motor, the method of suppressing cogging torque is adopted by opening auxiliary slots in the crown of the stator teeth. The analytical expression of the cogging torque of the motor is analysed, and by changing the number of auxiliary slots, the depth and width of the slots, the simulation model of the surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor is established by Maxwell 2D, and the influence of the auxiliary slots on the cogging torque of the surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor is analysed by the finite element method. Taking a 4-pole and 48slot surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor as an example, the analysis results show that: in combination with the actual industrial production and to ensure the magnetic density of the air gap of the motor, when one auxiliary slot is opened, the slot type is rectangular, the depth of the slot is 1.1 mm, and the width of the slot is 1.2 mm, the weakening effect of the cogging torque is most obvious, and compared with the cogging torque when the auxiliary slot is not opened, the cogging torque is reduced by 82.17%, and the magnetic density of the air gap is reduced by 2.73%, and the operating performance of the motor is improved.
