Simulation and Design of Satellite Power Conditioning Unit Based on S4R Technology

This study focus on the need for a satellite power conditioning unit, a modular power control scheme with a full regulated main-busbar based on S4R (Switched-Shunt Regulator) technology was designed. Key parameters were meticulously configured to achieve efficient regulation of the power supply module. Utilizing Matlab/Simulink simulation software, a modular simulation system was constructed, which includes a shunt regulator and a battery charge/discharge regulator. The study optimized the circuit and control parameters by simulating the dynamic response of the main-bus under various load conditions. The simulation results demonstrate that the designed power conditioning unit not only meets the requirements of the satellite main-bus loads but also has a high regulation accuracy and stability. The experimental datas obtained from the prototype demonstrate that the power conditioning unit scheme has achieved superior performance in the experimental.
