Research and Improvement of On-line SF6 Gas Infrared Imaging Leakage Detection Hardware Equipment

Since there are still some safety hazards in the operation of SF6 electrical equipment, once the SF6 electrical equipment generates gas leakage, it will cause serious adverse consequences. Liquid and gaseous SF6 can quickly lead to personnel asphyxiation, and due to the high density of the gas, it is easy to gather in the low place is not easy to proliferate, if you fail to get a comprehensive real-time supervision, rushed into the work area to a large extent will threaten the safety of the staff. Thus, this paper proposes the research and improvement of online SF6 gas infrared imaging leak detection hardware equipment. The use of stable SF6 gas relative to the air on the infrared absorption is very strong characteristics of the infrared detector under the two presented in the infrared comparison image, so that the leakage of gas could not be visible become visible, the establishment of the gas equivalent blackbody temperature model, through MATLAB simulation to analyse when the gas concentration changes. Finally, the improved hybrid Gaussian background model is used to adaptively segment the SF6 leakage area with motion characteristics and mark the leakage area, which ultimately realises the automated detection and positioning of small SF6 leakage. The experimental results show that the infrared imaging technology can provide high sensitivitySF6 gas leakage detection, can accurately locate the leakage point, and can reduce false alarms and omissions. The on-line device is able to monitor theSF6 gas leakage in real time, and once the leakage is detected, it can respond quickly to reduce the potential safety risks.
