MANET: A Secured and Logical Routing Protocol Development Over Mobile AdHoc Networks for Intelligent Data Communication

Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs) present unique challenges and opportunities due to their decentralized and dynamic nature. This research study explores key security mechanisms and communication protocols essential for the effective functioning of MANETs. The Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) is highlighted for its robust encryption capabilities, ensuring data confidentiality through a symmetric key approach that balances strong security with efficient real-time application performance. Authentication protocols, specifically digital signatures and Hash-based Message Authentication Codes (HMAC), are crucial for verifying communication integrity and authenticity, preventing unauthorized access and identity spoofing. Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDPS) are examined for their role in maintaining network security by detecting anomalies and known attack patterns in real-time, achieving a detection accuracy of 96.4%. These systems enable proactive threat mitigation, enhancing the network's resilience. Additionally, the paper discusses the importance of selecting appropriate routing strategies-proactive, reactive, or hybrid-to optimize network performance and resource utilization, adapting to MANETs' dynamic conditions.
