Efficient Antenna Design and Simulation for Electrically Large Smart Home Appliances

Next-generation home appliances will feature Wi-Fi connectivity to assist users in communicating with them remotely for management or telemetry from any location at any time. Therefore, understanding the electromagnetic radiation of antennas integrated within these appliances is an indispensable task. Efficient simulations are critical to shorten the product development process and meet customers' demands in a timely manner. In this paper, we investigate acceleration techniques through hardware for efficient design and simulation of antennas for these next-generation appliances. We specifically study the design and simulation of antennas for integration in refrigerators with electrically large dimensions compared to the antenna.
