WideBand Wearable Antenna for ISM Band

A rectangular microstrip patch antenna with a small size of $\mathbf{34.5}\times \mathbf{32.5}\times \mathbf{0.8}$ mm3 has been proposed for wearable devices, health monitoring, medical Internet of Things (MIoT) applications. Fig. 1 shows the suggested antenna, where a Split ring resonance (SRR) is on the top of the patch, and numerous 0.5mm thin lines are removed from the ground plane. The designed antenna operates at 5.8 GHz and covers the ISM (Industrial Scientific Medical) bands. From radiating frequency band of 5.31 GHz to 6.44 GHz, the proposed antenna's return loss is less than -10dB, and the antenna indicates wide bandwidth, good efficiency, and gain over the working band. Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) is used to construct the suggested wideband wearable antenna, which was then put to the test using a vector network analyzer (VNA). The designed antenna is a perfect match for a flexible wearable wideband antenna.
