An Exploration of Edge Computing: Emergence, Evolution, Challenges, Approaches

This study presents an overview of edge computing, including its history, development, problems, and strategies, in an easy-to-read manner. Conventional cloud computing is confronted with challenges such as security concerns and bandwidth congestion as smart devices become more prevalent. Edge computing has become a paradigm-shifting technology in response. This study describes how it evolved and sets itself apart from conventional models. Important issues in edge computing, like security and latency, are discussed, and simple but efficient solutions are suggested. In order to make edge computing more accessible to individuals looking for a brief introduction to this rapidly changing computing paradigm, this study attempts to provide a basic overview of the technology’s history, challenges encountered, and selected workable approaches.
