Enhancing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Performance with Internet of Things (IoT)-based Audio-Visual Feedback Device

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) stands as a crucial intervention for individuals experiencing cardiac arrest, yet its demanding nature underscores the necessity for innovations to augment its efficacy. In light of this challenge, we developed an IoT-integrated CPR rescue system, utilizing Arduino and Bluetooth technology for their flexibility and seamless interoperability. The IoT-integrated CPR rescue system demonstrated acceptable sensitivity in detecting BPM, with near-accurate rates displayed for SPO2 levels. Despite a latency of around 200 milliseconds, the system provided prompt CPR guidance, ensuring effective response times and user satisfaction. This study offers valuable insights into the development of cost-effective and highly accurate CPR assistance systems, which contribute to the advancement of emergency medical care and provide significant benefits to the research community. Future research may explore optimizations and integration with established healthcare infrastructure to further amplify outcomes in cardiac emergencies
