We make this road by walking:experiences from a LatinX Research Practice Partnership

This report shares the experiences from an NSF funded project from 2017-2021 and the continuation of activities up today. The authors will share how the core values of equity, diversity and cultural relevance [1] grounded the establishment of a LatinX Researcher-Practitioner Partnership (RPP). This report will share: a. the establishment and maturing of an Latinx RPP; b. the creation of a support system for educators implementing Exploring Computer Science (ECS) in Spanish; c. the establishment of a teacher ECS Professional Development (ECS PD) facilitator cohort; and d. systemic change facilitated by the RPP. Finally, by reporting on our experiences we intend to inspire the establishment of more RPPs led by historically disenfranchised groups.
