Stability Improvement in Hybrid System using Optimization Technique based DPFC Controller

Since last decade, the stability, power quality and reliability are the major concern in electrical power system. The major causes are due to change in loads, system parameters and complexity. This paper mainly concentrates on stability improvement in system voltage, frequency and reactive power caused by variations in system conditions and fault. To improve stability of proposed system a Distributed Power Flow Controller (DPFC) is proposed. The control strategies for this controller are designed with reference current and voltage parameters under dq-transformation technique. The proposed control strategies are controlled with the help of Partical Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Artificial Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) optimization techniques to get better improvement in stability conditions. The proposed hybrid system using DPFC controller is implemented and tested using MATLAB. Here, to achieve better performance of DPFC system is implemented with AI Controllers.
