Integration and Application of Multimedia Communication Systems in Stage “Sound, Light, and Video” Linkage Control

Stage performance is an integrated art form. Centralized control of various technical elements such as stage lighting, sound, machinery, and multimedia to a certain extent can expand the performance space, enhance the interactivity between actors and multimedia imagery, and deeply integrate various professional stage equipment with art to more accurately serve the art of stage performance. With the extensive application of multimedia technology in stage performances, the linkage control technology of “sound, light, and video” has become crucial for enhancing the performance effect. This paper takes four software examples, Isadora, Arkaos, grandMAonPC, and Qlab, and discusses methods to achieve the linkage control of sound, light, and electronic visual equipment in stage performances based on the Art-Net and DMX512 signal protocols. Through multimedia communication technology, centralized control of various media in stage performances has been realized, enhancing the artistry and watchability of the performances.
