Research on Visual System Based Operation and Maintenance Monitoring Method for Marine Loading Arms

In the field of Liquefied Natural Gas shore-to-ship loading, it is difficult to directly install sensors on the pipeline components of Marine Loading Arms, which results in a lack of monitoring methods for its operation and maintenance, limiting its normal operation and maintenance. This article proposes a visual operation and maintenance monitoring method to address this issue. Firstly, fix the specially designed labels near the inspection components of the pipeline components; Next, the camera pose positioning algorithm and the pan tilt tracking algorithm were designed. When there are leaks or structural failures in pipeline components during loading operations, the camera captures them and quickly identifies and locates nearby labels, and tracks the target object through pan tilt. Synchronize and transmit information to the dock central control system, making it easier for control personnel to quickly locate problems and find solutions. Finally, this article constructs a camera system with a 2-degree-of-freedom pan tilt, and conducts recognition and positioning tests on the designed labels to test the effectiveness of the camera pose positioning algorithm and pan tilt tracking algorithm, in order to demonstrate the feasibility of this method.
