Design and Implementation of a Full Duplex Voice Communication System for Beidou Satellite

The Beidou Satellite Navigation System is a satellite navigation system independently constructed and operated by China, breaking the monopoly of the US GPS system. The research and design of a full duplex voice communication system for the Beidou satellite has a good engineering and technical background as well as practical significance. This article focuses on the research and design of hardware and software for voice communication systems in harsh environments without mobile communication signals. Based on the BeiDou RDSS communication protocol supporting bidirectional message communication, a full duplex voice communication system is implemented, which can achieve low-speed speech compression, encoding and decoding, and satellite transmission. Solved the problem of inability to conduct normal communication and communication in areas without base station signal coverage such as navigation, deserts, and wilderness, as well as in special situations such as individual combat.
