Research on ship coupled motion modeling in waves based on KT maneuvering response model

Establishing accurate and reliable ship motion model is the key for high-precision prediction of ship oscillation and maneuvering motion. Based on the KT maneuvering response model, this paper adopts the modeling idea of double time scale model, and establishes a ship oscillation motion model according to three-dimensional potential flow theory, and proposes a new ship manipulative motion modeling method in waves. Based on the improved coupled motion model of ship waves, the maneuvering and oscillation motion prediction of ships in real waves are verified. The verification results show that the coupled motion model proposed in this paper can realize the high-precision prediction of ship maneuvering and oscillation motion.
