Cybersecurity as a Contributor to United Nations SDGs towards enhancing the ESG Reporting

This paper investigates the contribution of the var-ious cybersecurity domains to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), emphasizing the critical role of cybersecurity in advancing global sustainability efforts. The paper examines how cybersecurity measures and practices can contribute to achieving the SDGs by ensuring the security, resilience, and sustainability of critical systems and infrastructure. Furthermore, it highlights the integration of cybersecurity into Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting, enhancing corporate resilience and aligning with SDGs. A use case focused on specific SDG is also analysed and discussed. This analysis offers valuable insights and guidance for incorporating cybersecurity into Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting processes, contributing to a more sustainable and resilient future.
