Mechanical Fault Simulation Analysis of GW4 Isolation Switch in Substation

High voltage isolation switches play a crucial role in power transmission, and studying their kinematic laws and characteristics is of great practical significance. This article is based on the GW4 high-voltage isolation switch, aiming to address issues such as inadequate opening and closing, surface rust, and insufficient clamping force caused by mechanical fatigue losses during the opening and closing process of the GW4 isolation switch; Build a switch model using SolidWorks software, and simulate various fault situations of the isolation switch using Adams dynamic simulation software. Simulate the changes in contact force during the opening and closing process of the switch, and analyze the simulation results.
