Distribution Network Fault Location Configuration Optimization Method Based on Feature Non-Singular Set

Traveling wave will produce refraction traveling wave when it passes through the node in the power grid, and then the refraction traveling wave will further transmit to the subsequent line. According to the transmission characteristics, a distribution network cable fault network location method based on characteristic non-singular set is proposed. This method can obtain the optimal traveling wave location device configuration scheme by calculating the characteristic non-singular subset of the line structure, and realize the network fault location through multi-point coordination. The simulation results show that the proposed method reduces the number of configurations of traveling wave positioning device from 8 to 4, and greatly reduces the investment cost.
