Research on the Construction Method of a Model for Assessing the Impact of Ice Accretion on 10kV Distribution Poles and Towers

This paper analyzes the impact of uneven ice accretion on 10 kV power distribution lines and utility poles, establishing a mechanical model to assess structural safety and stability under icy conditions. The study introduces the concept of “equivalent length” and develops a new method for calculating equivalent ice thickness, enhancing the model's accuracy and reducing dependency on base parameters. These advancements not only optimize the design and maintenance of power distribution lines but also bolster the power system's resilience against risks. This contributes significantly to ensuring the continuity and reliability of power supply.
