A Modal Analysis Based CPW-Fed Flexible Wideband Antenna for Sub-6 GHz Wearable Technology

A compact, highly flexible CPW-fed antenna is presented for 5G Sub-6 GHz wearable technology. The antenna holds a physical dimension of
$40 \times 30\times 0.1\text{mm}^{3}$
with a measured impedance bandwidth of 4.35-5.6GHz (25%). A low SAR value of 0.527/0.185 W/kg for 1/10g of tissue proves the antenna is a good candidate for wearable applications. A notable peak gain and radiation efficiency of 4dBi and 85% is achieved. CMA analysis of the antenna provides significant insight into its physical phenomenon.
