High Speed and Ultra-Large Capacity 5G UPF HQoS Solution Based on Smart NIC

HQo $S$ is an advanced network traffic management approach that significantly enhances the quality of service (QoS) within DiffServ model. To meet 5G UPF gateway specific $QoS$ requirements, we delivered enhanced $HQoS$ solution (renamed as h-Policer) based on Intel smart NIC with key advantages: 1) Achieving up to 100 Gbps throughput and 4 million users/flows for a single h-Policer instance. 2) Utilizing a non-buffering QoS design to optimize memory resources. 3) Offering reconfigurable h-Policer modules for rapid generation of complex hierarchies. 4) Implement dynamic limit scheduler and feedback-adjusted status counters in h-Policer solution.
