A Mobile Adaptive Elliptic Curve Cryptography Technique for Internet of Things Device

Cryptography is a bedrock of IoT security, and elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) has been recognized as a potential option due to its effectiveness and robust security qualities. The heterogeneous nature of IoT deployments, on the other hand, necessitates an adaptive technique for ECC capable of smoothly adjusting cryptographic settings to fit the resource limits of various IoT devices. This research presents a novel mobile adaptive elliptic curve cryptography (MA-ECC) techniques tailored for the unique constraints of IoT devices. As IoT system become increasingly prevalent, ensuring the security of data transmission is paramount. Traditional cryptographic methods are often unsuitable for IoT devices due to their limited computational power and energy constraints. The proposed MA-ECC method addresses these challenges by offering a lightweight, efficient cryptographic solution specifically optimized for mobile IoT environment. The results of this study indicate a significant improvement in performance and security efficiency. MA-ECC demonstrates a reduction in computation time by up to 40% and energy consumption by up to 50% when compared to traditional ECC implementations, without compromising the security strength. The research concludes that MA-ECC stands as a viable and more efficient cryptographic solution for the next generation of IoT applications, ensuring a balance between robust security and device performance constraints.
