Real-Time Monitoring System Based on IoT for Cardiac Care

The fastest-rising diseases in people today are chronic diseases, which can be brought on by various factors including dietary habits, physical activity, and unhealthy routines like drinking alcohol and smoking. In order to monitor biomedical parameters like ECG, and body temperature, and employ biomedical sensors in the patient, the design of this system integrates real-time continuous and long-term health monitoring systems. The sensors are affixed to the patient's body, and the Arduino Uno controller board processes the patient's measurements before sending them through a Wi-Fi module to a healthcare facility. A comparison is made between the obtained biological parameters and the predetermined threshold values. If the parameter is normal, it is saved in the database; otherwise, an alarm message with data is sent through a Wi-Fi module to the doctor or the patient's career, and the alarm system in the proposed system is a crucial component designed to alert healthcare providers or caregivers in case of critical events or deviations from normal health parameters. The Threshold-Based Alerts the alarm system is configured when a patient's vital signs or health data cross these thresholds (e.g., ECG too low or body temperature too high), and the system triggers an alert. The alarm system serves as a critical safety net, enabling timely intervention in case of emergencies, deteriorating health conditions, or other critical events. It is designed to facilitate rapid communication, collaboration among healthcare team members, and effective responses to ensure patient safety and well-being.
