Development of pseudo-positioning signal generator for QZSS

In recent years, the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) has become widespread throughout the world. This system provides several necessary information to maintain our daily lives. Originally, the GNSS had an important role for operation of ships and aircrafts. Recently, many IoT devices are equipped with GNSS functions, such as location information in car navigation systems and smartphones. On the other hand, in case of the Global Positioning System (GPS), which is one of the GNSS, specifications of the radio waves are opened to the public. Transmission data is not encrypted and not authenticated. Therefore, damages of intentional Electro Magnetic Interference (IEMI) are reported [1] and its counter measure is needed to develop rapidly. In this paper, pseudo-positioning signal generator for the Quasi-Zenith Satellite System (QZSS) is developed as a part of IEMI counter measure technology for GNSS. This trial is first approach for generating QZSS signals on software.
