Design and Development of IoT Enabled Health Monitoring System Using Node MCU

In recent times, most healthcare establishments are affirmed to be valuable by using Internet of Things (IoT) based monitoring systems. This paper proposes a patient health monitoring system in real-time by utilizing critical care body vitals such as body temperature and pulse rate in an IoT environment. The results are monitored on a liquid crystal display unit synchronized with a device software or a mobile application. The proposed scheme uses ESP32 Node MCU which allows realtime data exchange using the IoT cloud. The obtained results are accurate (error percentage $\lt \pm 5 \%$) when compared to the available medical devices in the market. The developed IoT-based system prototype would play a crucial role in handling emergencies effectively to save lives.
