Anomalous Electromagnetic Radiation Detection Method for Distributed Electromagnetic Spectrum Detection System Based on RF I/Q Signal in Pre-earthquake Period

The electromagnetic spectrum energy detection method has high probability of missing detection. It is difficult to detect abnormal electromagnetic radiation in the environment. The characteristics of electromagnetic radiation and radio signal in electromagnetic spectrum detection data are analyzed in this paper. A method of detecting weak electromagnetic radiation before an earthquake based on the distribution characteristics of RF baseband signals is proposed. Combined with the software-defined radio and RF I/Q signals, a fluctuation estimation based on the cumulative distance of I/Q components is proposed to determine whether abnormal electromagnetic radiation exists. The measured data show that the cumulative distance method of I/Q component has high monitoring accuracy and can effectively improve the monitoring ability of weak abnormal electromagnetic radiation before an earthquake.
