Computational fluid dynamics of different structures of polyhouse

In this paper, we have done Computational Fluid Dynamic Analysis of the different shapes of the polyhouses. Polyhouses pivotal in modern agriculture, demand meticulous design for efficient climate control and crop yield optimization. This study employs Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to scrutinize diverse polyhouse structures, aiming to elucidate their impact on internal airflow and thermal distribution. Through intricate 3D modeling and simulations, we explore variations in polyhouse geometry, seeking to understand the correlation between structural design and environmental conditions. We have modelled them and done CFD analysis of all the models to evaluate wind forces over plastic polyhouse covers. Five different polyhouses i.e, Gable, Quonset, modified Quonset, Gothic and newly designed polyhouse were studied for the effect of wind velocity and the pressure generated on the roof of polyhouse. For gable polyhouse, higher wind velocity and pressure is observed and for the new structure wind velocity and pressure observed were comparatively less.
