Design and Implementation of Area Detection Method based on Ray Crossing

In flight test, the airplane is constrained by various complex operational limits, which define its flight envelope. Traditionally, ground monitoring personnel need to constantly pay attention to whether the test aircraft is maneuvering within the restricted range to ensure flight safety, but this can easily cause fatigue for monitoring personnel and lead to misjudgment. To address this issue, we first study the algorithm for the relationship between points and enclosed areas, and then design an area detection method based on ray crossing. Next, the closed area detection module is implemented by C # programming to realize the rapid detection of targets in closed space such as envelopes. Additionally, in order to improve the reusability and generalization, we encapsulate the detection module code as a dynamic link library file. Several flight data were had been used to verify this method. The results using flight data have demonstrated that this method is precise and effective. Detection results can provide alarm sources for the monitoring alarm software, further support the monitoring personnel to make timely decisions.
